...my wandering mind.....

A happy morning to all....

..yeah, been having a lot of thinking lately ...of course, together with a lot of things to do....our homebased accounting and audit works are doing quite great although we've cut a few that's not worth serving. There are so much a lot of plans... piling in my mind one on top of the other... moving house...selling our current house....packing and sorting things... wanting to downsize our current stocks....giving up most of my collections (vcds/dvds, magazines, pocketbooks, clothes, accessories, dinnerwares, etc...)...wanting the available new place to move in...evaluating the new place - where to place evreything - cleaning - repairs - improvements to do - additional things needed....and on our homebased workloads...backlogs, deadlines, reports, meetings...just really a lot of things to think about.

...anyway, in the midst of it all... I can make the stress go away for awhile doing some crossstitching... yeah, it really is a stress-buster! I'm really thankful that I have it as a hobby.Just looking at my stash keeps the stress away! How I wish I could just look at all of it forever! ha ha ha  :-D

...well, there's good news...I have finally finished my "Believe" project!  Here's a quick recollection of slow journey towards the finish line...
 ....last 330 sticthes
...last 50 stitches...
....last x stitch! ...wow, am soooo happy!
....finished at last!
HAED QS - "Believe"
designed by Jessica Galberth and charted by HAED

2 strands of DMC threads

....am planning to check on all my UFOs... will keep a tab on all of it so, I can work on them one by one and have them finished! ...will feature them here so, I will be constantly reminded.

...wishing us all happy days ahead... I still believe in faith and prayers....happy more stitching days ahead which promises stress-free days! Yipee!

Stitching in the month of love.......

I have been sticking to my stitching plan schedule as much as possible since January this year and  really hoping I could make it go on for the next 10 months & more :-D

...and part of this plan is to at least finish 1 mini project per month... so, I have another mini one finished for February - a Margaret Sherry cat design featured in Cross Stitcher uk magazine way back April 2010 ...entitled "Fishing Cat".... this one has lots (lots & lots)  of fractional stitches and backstitches (of course :-) very typical of a MS project)

...and I also started on my rotation with Mira's "Waiting for Ships"... am now working on "Believe" again... here are their latest update pics...

...hoping to post another update soon......
Happy stitching!

New Year....New Project!

Waiting For Ships designed by Nora Corbett for 1998 Mirabilia Designs..... a simply beautiful mermaid waiting for ships in the deep ocean.... I have just waited for the perfect fabric to go with it and when I finally had the chance ... here it is! The fabric is a hand-dyed 14ct aida in apple grape jelly shade that I was able to order & purchase on-line...

so, here is the pic of the design.....

And here's my first update... with some few stitches.... (yipee! happy me! :-D)

Happy New Year 2015!

Happy New Year to all!

2014 has been a great year... with highs and lows... a really amazing roller coaster ride... best of all, I was able to focus on my accounting profession...(just still need to efficiently manage my time for 2015)....have finished some stitchy projects compared to previous years (would love to finish more projects this year)....and all in all, life has been good ... a little bumpy ride at the sides but still managed a good manuevering and looking forward for a lovely tune-up.

And so... for 2015, I would wish for a lot more time devoted to my dearest hobby, crossstitching. I realized that life is really short - we must enjoy every minute we have... because happiness is the real treasure a person can have.

I have updated my Stitching Journal with my 2015 stitching plans & goals.... and as a start I have started my "Waiting For Ships" project using a hand dyed aida fabric....

Here's a pic of the finished project... isn't she pretty? right?
I will upload pics of the update progress as I go along....

Happy stitching everyone!
