Holding on....

I've been very, very busy since I started my training (office work related) that I lost my time from xstitching! I really am holding on now...only 3 weeks more and I'll be back with a vengeance!

Life has really been sooooo good...so I can't complain. Blessings keep on pouring in. They're not really material things but the healing of some emotional and personal issues. Thank you, dear Lord!

An Eye Opener...

A story to live by....

There was a bling girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone - except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, "If I could only see the world , I will marry you."

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.

He asked her, "Now, that you can see the world, will you marry me?"

The girl looked at him and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left in tears...and days later wrote a note to her saying.... "Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine."

Moral of the story? Read on...

This is how the human brain often works when our status changes.

Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.

Life is a gift.

Today, before you say an unkind word - Think of someone who can't speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife - Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion.

Today, before you complain about life - Think of someone who died early on this earth.

Before you complain about your children - Think of someone who desires children but they're barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn't sweep or clean - Think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive - Think of someone who travels the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job - Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another - Remember that not one of us is without sin.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down - Put a smile on your face and think: you're still alive and still around.

At work.....

...it's been another stressful week as we had a 3-day simultaneous purchasing schedule! :(

And to top it all, we've experienced such a frustating super-heavy traffic on our way home last Wednesday after a heavy rain downpour. It took us more than 5 hours to get home!!!! We got home at exactly 12:32am.

I'm really hopeful that things will turn out brighter on the days ahead!

Inspirations....

Inspirations are all around us.....God has a way of sending us signals through persons, places and or things.....But we've got to be awake or aware of their presence....or they all will just fly right by.

Butterfly Whisper.....

..... Here's another of my favorite crossstitch project entitled "Butterfly Whisper" from Dimension Gold designs. This project gave me lots of enjoyable moments and satisfaction... I'm really a butterfly fanatic and really hopes to finish more of my butterfly projects in the very near future!

Believe....

....Here's the project that I'm currently doing...It's entitled "Believe". I'm super enjoying it... and wish that I have a lot more time to xstitch it. I look forward to the time when it's halfway done ... to see more of the butterfly emerging!

.... as for this one...I'm using 16 ct. of white Aida fabric which my Ninang Lena sent to me from California and 2 threads over 1 of DMC fabric. There's lot of confetti stitches but I can say that it's manageable. There are no backstitches on this one only full crosses. As of the size - it's 153w x 200h.

Butterflies in stitches....

.... It has been a stressful week.... and I promised myself to have a "me" moment this weekend at home as a means to unwind.... I super LOVE butterflies! ...and I chose to browse over some of my crossstitched projects and picked up some with butterfly designs and uploaded them here!

My first entry....

"NOW IS THE TIME"

Margaret Storm Jameson, an English novelist, once said: "Most of us spend 58 minutes an hour living in the past with regret for lost joys, or shame fr things badly done (both utterly useless and weakening) or in a future which we either long for or dread."

The only way to live is to accept each minute as an unrepeatable miracle, which is exactly what it is - a miracle and unrepeatable.

Work at your work. Play at your play. Shed your tears. Enjoy your laughter. Now is the time of your life.

This is a very meaningful message for everyone of us. I want to start this blog as a refection of life, things that I want to share and talk about.... this will also serve as a means of letting out my thoughts and ideas... a means of sharing my greatest passion in crosstitches.... and a means of helping myself go over with all the thoughts and feelings going in my mind and inside my heart in a whirlwind process.

Let's just continue to count our blessings in each and everyday... May our Lord bless us all... our loved ones... our country... and all that matters.
